Manila FAME accentuates unique fashion pieces at Manila Wear

MANILA FAME, the Design and Lifestyle Event, the signature event of the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM), once again presents Manila Wear through the work of 26 talented designers through the curatorship of fashion icon Josie Natori. Launched in the March 2012 edition of Manila FAME, Manila Wear embodies a fun, easygoing lifestyle coupled with fine craftsmanship.

CITEM Executive Director Rosvi Gaetos says, “We wanted to provide a venue for fashion design to be exhibited to local and international visitors alongside furniture, furnishings and gift to round out Manila FAME’s design offering.”

“I’m so proud of all these very talented young designers and to see the work here. It’s a great opportunity for every one of them to be able to show their personality and show their best,” Natori says, “I think it’s time that the world knows about the creativity and the wonderful products they can get from the Philippine designers. FAME has been an amazing venue for that. It’s just exciting to see all these creativity in one booth.”

The designers featured in this edition are Amina Aranaz-Alunan, Mia Arenas, Jun Artajo, Anne Mari Saguil and Anna Ayuyao, JC Buendia, Maco Custodio, Kristine Dee, Lally Dizon, Mich Dulce, Jun Escario, Joel Escober, Carissa Cruz-Evangelista, OJ Hofer, Emi Jorge, Natalya Lagdameo, Raj Laurel, Adante Leyesa, Dennis Lustico, Joyce Makitalo, Dita, Sandico-Ong, Malou Romero, Ken Samudio, Neil Felipp San Pedro, Cary Santiago, Nicole Whisenhunt, and Jaime Zanoria.
